Back Pain + Yoga: A Workshop to Relieve Tension and Create Stability

In this workshop students will gain a better understanding of the functions of the spine and learn how to relieve tension and gain stability in their practice. We will move through each part of the spine with a brief overview of the anatomy of each area and how these spinal structures can cause obstacles in the asana practice. Students will learn simple and effective poses and exercises to strengthen the muscles that support the spine as well as some proper alignment techniques to better support them on their mat. This workshop is all levels.
