$200 general public, $250 for teachers taking additional hours

Are you interested in learning more about yin yoga? This 10-hour training is designed for both the practitioner and teacher. Learn basic and more complex principles of the yin practice from both an Eastern and Western perspective.

In this training, you will learn:
• The history of yin yoga
• Yin yoga principles and concepts
• Traditional yin postures vs. yin as an approach to yoga
• How yin postures impact our muscles, joints and fascia
• Physiological benefits of the yin practice
• Basic concepts in Traditional Chinese Medicine: five-elements, yin/yang theory, meridian line theory
• The importance of slowing down and how creating space can lead to a more fulfilling life
• How to begin and maintain a meditation practice

Certified yoga teachers who are interested in learning how to teach yin may enroll in an additional 2-hour workshop on Saturday, May 6.

Topics include:
• Cueing, theming, class planning, and setting the tone
• Modifications & adjustments
• Safety and your students
• Sample sequences
