Join Adi McCasland for a class especially dedicated to runners and athletes. We will focus on balance, strength, increasing range of motion, and training the body and mind to move through gravitational dimensions while coordinating breath with movement. The strength and flexibility developed on the mat, namely in the core, quads, hamstrings, and hip flexors, can help you run more efficiently and stay injury-free. Additionally, holding challenging poses builds tenacity that'll pay off on the road. Yoga poses give runners more than just foot strength, they can help build mental endurance. Tight muscles get tighter and weak muscles get weaker. A tight muscle is brittle, hard, and inflexible. We will work on restoring up our tight, weak muscles back to being soft, and malleable through various poses and myofascial release. Regular Class credits do apply!
