Jill began her process into yoga in 2011 after searching for a practice to ease tension while providing strength and stability. Little did she know it would lead to so much more. Her initial practice consisted of yoga videos, which lead to intuitive movement on her mat at home, and eventually to a studio practice where she found connection and an on-going curiosity about the benefits of the practice. Life-shifts and a desire to grow led her to obtain a 200-hour RYT certification with Allison Candelaria, Shannon Stephens and Lindsey Melott through the Soul Yoga Teacher Training in April of 2017.
To Jill this practice mirrors life and can be thought of as medicine in movement–sometimes it is slow and meditative like yin, sometimes it involves more movement, flow and repetition. For Jill, yoga provides awareness of physical and emotional feelings, and couples it to an intention to sustain a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is mindful care and connection.
Jill seeks for her classes to reflect her personal practice – thoughtful, centering and intentional – guiding students to listen to their bodies to become more intuitively empowered to discover what works for them.
