Kathryn found yoga by way of a college modern dance instructor in 2012. Through it, she discovered a pathway for physical and mental connection far more effective than any she had experienced before. Her yoga practice carried her through a year in Berlin, Germany and the completion of a dissertation in Art History. And in 2015, Kathryn completed her 200-hr RYT in Hatha Yoga from YogaYoga in Austin Texas. Living the next year in Austin, Los Angeles,and Detroit, she gained experience from teachers in Ashtanga, Anusara, and Vinyasa.
In 2016, Kathryn moved to Oklahoma City and is now a full-time yoga teacher. Her classes integrate dynamic movement with more statically held postures to build strength and encourage a felt sense of alignment. Along with thoughtful and creative sequences, Kathryn endeavors to provide for her students a safe space where they feel confident to take modifications and ask questions. Kathryn will be completing her 500-hr RYT with Jules Mitchell in 2020.
