Kathryn was introduced to yoga by a college modern dance instructor in 2012 and was instantly drawn to the practice’s focus on physical mindfulness. She completed her 200-hr teacher training through Yoga Yoga in Austin, Texas in 2015 and continued to explore yoga while traveling—practicing with Ashtanga teachers in Austin and Detroit, and Anusara teachers in Los Angeles. She began teaching after moving to Oklahoma City in 2016 and has since cultivated a teaching style that balances alignment with a recognition of personal capabilities. True to her roots, Kathryn’s classes are highly focused on gaining physical knowledge and awareness as well as safely challenging her students to grow their practice—expect to flow and then hold! Her passion for nourishing the the body and mind extends beyond yoga—when not teaching or practicing you can find her cooking at Nourished Food Bar or reading a really great book.
