Shannon took her first yoga class at the University of Oklahoma’s student gym in 2003. She was immediately drawn to the link of movement and breath. Growing up as a dancer and dance instructor yoga seemed a natural progression. Practicing on and off until 2013 when a back injury forced her to focus on healing. She quickly found that a short daily yoga practice significantly improved her injury. She received her 200 hr level certificate, studying under Allison Candeleria at Soul Yoga. She is now an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. Her classes are vinyasa style, focusing on linking body and breath while incorporating movements found in other forms of exercise training.
